These are photos from the boy’s first trip to the Outer Banks in may 2011 (this one after our long drive and unpacking everything – beach zombies) . They both had a wonderful time. Aden was absolutely fearless about the water and wanted to face every wave that crashed in. Gavin preferred the beach and busied himself with sand and seashells.
Today was Gavin and Aden’s very first birthday party. The boys got to wear their first costumes, feasted on homemade macaroni and cheese , and totally obliterated some very tasty cakes. They even got to spend some quality time with their buddies Kaleigh and Ashley! They enjoyed the company of friends and family and got some gifts that they’ll enjoy for a long time. Many thanks to all who were able to join us, at the party or just in spirit, in celebrating their first birthday.
